Thanks for your question. After recent Clipchamp updates, many accounts have been moved to OneDrive-backed storage, so what looks like “deleted folders” is often a sign-in, OneDrive, or local cache/index issue rather than the projects being wiped.
Here are some suggestions you can try in this situation:
Check the web version first.
Open Clipchamp in a browser at https://app.clipchamp.com and sign in with the same Microsoft account. If projects show up there, the Windows app is usually just failing to load its local cache correctly.
Look in OneDrive for the dedicated Clipchamp folder and restore from Recycle Bin if needed.
In OneDrive, search for “Clipchamp” and look for a folder named Clipchamp Projects (and check OneDrive Recycle Bin). With the new storage model, projects and assets are expected to live there for many users.
Make sure OneDrive is actually active for that Microsoft account.
If OneDrive entitlement is inactive, Clipchamp can’t access OneDrive-backed projects. Sign in to OneDrive directly (onedrive.live.com) with the same account, then reopen Clipchamp.
Repair the Clipchamp app (avoid Reset for now).
On Windows: Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Clipchamp > Advanced options > Repair. Repair can fix a broken project index/cache without deleting app data the way Reset might.
If you used the desktop app, back up the local cache folder before changing anything.
Copy this folder to a safe place: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt\ (especially the IndexedDB area). Clipchamp does store temporary project-related files there, and having a copy prevents accidental loss during troubleshooting.
