Document processing pay-as-you-go terms of service

Document processing for Microsoft 365 uses pay-as-you-go billing through an Azure subscription. See the current list of pay-as-you-go features and the pricing for each for details.

When you enter your Azure subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center, you will be billed on a pay-as-you-go basis for all pay-as-you-go services. Users in your organization will have access to some features by default. You can disconnect your subscription at any time to stop processing and billing.

In the future, new features that use pay-as-you-go billing will be announced via a message center post. When the features become available, users in your organization will be able to take advantage of those capabilities. You can manage or turn off pay-as-you-go features in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Prerequisites for pay-as-you-go are:

These are required to set up pay-as-you-go billing.

Processing events will be sent to the document processing meter in your Azure subscription so that you'll be able to view activity for each of the pay-as-you-go services that you use. Billing for services will be done through the Azure subscription that you choose.

If you currently have a Microsoft Syntex per-user license, licensed users will be able to continue to use unstructured and prebuilt document processing or some of the other services per the terms of that offer.

Document processing pay-as-you-go is not available for Office 365 government plans or Office 365 operated by 21Vianet to and for PRC-located users.
