Can any human being help me get access to my e-mail again?
Roughly a week ago, I happened to hit the wrong password when logging into my e-mail on my work computer, and I got the message "You have attempted to sign in too many times using the wrong username or password". I then followed a forum guide to the form that you fill in to recover your account. I have filled in the form to the best of my ability about 20 times by now, but a bot auto-replies to me within seconds that I have not given enough information even though I have listed my old Xbox-account which has not been used for about 5 years, as well as passwords I would use 10+ years ago.
I am not able to use my backup e-mail, because guess what - that e-mail has the same issue. I finally recovered my very first e-mail which is probably 20 years old at this stage, but could not find any connection to my current e-mail on there.
Then I called Microsoft, and was met by yet another robot who guided me to the ms.aka/pwr site, where I finally reached a human who told me that they cannot help me, and they closed the ticket so I could not enquire any more.
Then I decided to contact Microsoft via livechat using my very first e-mail (which by the way has the same phone number connected to the account. This did not help, and the representative tried to make me sign in using my normal browser, then on my phone using cellular, then on my pc again using incognito and /nocache behind the sign in-link. Nothing worked.
I was then adviced to wait 48 hours for the account to unlock automatically as it turns out that there was "an ongoing technical issue", and the "team" were working hard to resolve it. Fast forward 48 hours, and here I am writing this because it. did. not. work. To top it off, I went to sign into my old e-mail to reach out to livechat once again, and that is also locked now!!
My e-mail is connected to probably a hundred or so user accounts on different websites. It is connected to my home desktop computer, and it is connected to my phone number. I need to get this microsoft account unlocked, starting over with a new one is not an alternative. I am beyond frustrated with Microsoft and their primitive verification methods. I would gladly send a picture of my ID to them to verify that this in fact is my account.
Can anyone please advise me on how to proceed?
