It is used to create assignments from within our application. A teacher creates a video assignment in Edpuzzle and we then create it in Microsoft Teams as well with the proper attachment.
It is used to import Microsoft Teams "teams/classrooms" into Edpuzzle, this way teachers don't have to create classes in Edpuzzle that they already created in Microsoft Teams.
It is used to make sure that students that log in with Microsoft in Edpuzzle, belong to a team in Microsoft Teams before allowing them to see the assignments in Edpuzzle. Basically the use is for authorization reasons.
To store access tokens and refresh tokens to use them to synchronize Edpuzzle with Microsoft Teams, more specifically to synchronize the grades for the assignments as students complete them and to avoid having to request permissions each time a teacher wants to bring a Microsoft Teams classroom into Edpuzzle.
Learn how to authenticate users with Microsoft identity platform, configure permissions, and retrieve user data for your Microsoft Teams app using the Microsoft Graph API.
