Kopelen van gegevensbestanden in het nieuwe OUTLOOK

Op advies van de ondersteuning heb ik de gegevensbestanden uit de synschronisatie met OneDrive gehaald, omdat er performance problemen waren (OUTLOOK is traag, of reageert helemaal niet meer. Gegevensbestanden losgekoppeld van (nieuwe) OUTLOOK, en vervolgens opnieuw gekoppeld. Is gelukt, maar ik kan kan geen berichten van een e-mail account verplaatsen. Het verwarrende is overigens dat er twee versies gegevensbestanden in de folder 'outlook bestanden' staan. Voorbeeld lokaal.pst en lokaal-laptop-xxxx.pst,, die qua grootte en tijdsaanduiding gelijk zijn.

    Hello, Jan. Thanks for reaching out. Can you confirm if your Outlook data files are still stored in your OneDrive folder?

    Outlook data files like PST should not be kept in OneDrive because this causes sync conflicts and duplicate files. To fix this:

    • Close Outlook.

    • Move your PST files from the OneDrive "Outlook Files" folder to a local folder, for example C:\OutlookFiles.

    • Open Outlook, go to File > Account Settings > Data Files, and re-add the PST from the new local folder.

    • In OneDrive settings, uncheck "Outlook Files" so it does not sync again.

    This prevents Outlook from creating duplicate PST files and improves performance. I would also recommend keeping PST files under 10 GB for best results.

    Perhaps too early to declare victory, initially I could move e-mails from the e-mail accounts to the .PST folders. However something undefined changed the landscape, filing e-mails into .PST no longer possible. The respective .PST files can't be opened, even after refreshing opening, nothing happens. It looks as if there is no primary acount, the button in the hotmail account is not active

    Still up a creek, now with two paddles...; I moved all files back to the initial location, obviously resulting in a performance issue again. Changed the primary e-mail account, and moved it back to the hotmail account, with the subscription. I was no longer able to update the chat through OUTLOOK, so went back to this post, and moved the OUTLOOK files to the suggested location mentioned above. Reconnected the PST files and restarted OneDrive, which logged all changes, including the removal of the files previously included in the OneDrive process. Problem solved, just need to check the back-up parameters of the app I am using. Thanks for the journey and more important the solution.

    Meanwhile all files have been moved; OneDrive synchronised quickly, all files removed were logged.

    But as a test I tried to move an e-mail from an e-mail account top a local .pst-file, a warning was displayed to make sure this was an appropriate attempt, as the folder belonged to another account.

    I am a bit lost now, I have moved the files as instructed, I can see the folders under each pst file, but apparently I am not allowed as a sort of authentication/protection issue popped up.

    Pleas advise how to proceed

    The files have been moved to a different folder; there was also an 'old' folder named: 'Outlook files', containing old pst-files no longer current, but kept for recovery purposes. All files from both folders: (Outlook bestanden and Outlook files) have been moved to a different folder. A small part is still processing, 17 minutes to go. Fail to see where to uncheck Outlook Files, as I can only see a 'documents' folder, no sub-folders to uncheck
