    Hello john in t veld

Please note that, as forum moderator, I do not have access to the internal systems required to investigate individual account issues due to privacy and security constraints. Additionally, the qualification and renewal process for Microsoft 365 Developer Program tenants is automated and based on a set of algorithms and telemetry gathered from your activity in the program and on your Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscription. Therefore, I'm unable to manually reset Developer Program eligibility.

If your subscription has expired and remained inactive, please note the following timeline as mentioned on Microsoft 365 Developer Program FAQ

    • First 30 days after expiration: You can migrate any data.
    • Next 30 days: Only the admin will have access to the subscription.
    • Day 60: The subscription and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

From my observation, the current FAQ does not explicitly describe a supported way to renew an expired sandbox or create a new one using the same (previously expired) account. This likely indicates that the behavior has changed alongside updates to the program’s terms and eligibility requirements.

Given this, you may want to consider the following options:

1> Create a new tenant: Visit the Microsoft 365 Developer Program page and sign up again using a new Microsoft account (and a new phone number, if required). For more details on eligibility, you can refer to the FAQ section: Who qualifies for a Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscription?

2> Contact the Microsoft Developer Program support team via “Report errors" option located at the bottom of the Developer Program dashboard. This option may allow you to submit a request directly to the support team for further investigation.

    Report errors

I hope this provides some helpful direction and assists you in determining your next steps. Please feel free to share any updates, your experience may also help others in the community facing a similar situation.
