Hello,

For some time know my computer has been acting weird. While using the computer (mostly while gaming) the computer would freeze and (sometimes) restart itself. After the restart the pc would function without any errors. After viewing the event viewer I saw a couple of common errors:

Kernel-Power 41 (63) Bugcheckcode 0

Kernel-Power 41 (63) Bugcheckcode 278

nvlddmkm 0

I tried a couple of solutions, but the custom install of windows helped the best, yet after a few days the issue returned. Could this be the result of a faulty GPU driver, or is it something far bigger and more serious?

Specs:

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660

CPU: Intel Core I5-9400f

Motherboard: MSI B360 gaming plus

24 GB of DDR4 RAM

1TB SSD

PSU: Corsair CV550

I will also provide a OneDrive link to a couple of minidumps with some screenshots of the errors in event viewer.

The new minidump file also lists the Nvidia drivers as the cause of that latest crash, try installing a different version of that driver

    Hello,

While using my computer for scrolling through a forum or watching videos online, my pc worked without any issues. After 2-3 hours I booted up a video game, after playing it for 30-40 minutes, my pc froze and had to be restarted manually. It booted up without any issues.

Here is a link to the new dumpfile and a screeshot of the error in event viewer:

Hi, I have removed the Nvidia driver using DDU tool, and installed a more stable driver version afterwards. For now there are no errors or any freezes. May this issue return, what would be an other solution?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Your minidump files all indicate that it is the device driver on your Nvidia graphics card that is causing the system to crash

Completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the Nvidia website to download and install their recommended version of the Nvidia device driver.

A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version, it may be best to try installing a couple of older versions of that diver
