When you play the sample video on DTS sound unbound app, does it play correctly on the receiver?
Can't get windows to transmit encoded DTS or Dolby Surround sound out of S/PDIF
Hey!
I've been struggling to set up 5.1 surround sound on my home theater setup. The main issue is that I can't select dolby or dts in the "default format" field in sound output properties. (Sorry, my system is in Polish, but as you can see there is no option of dts or dolby)
I have dts and dolby enabled though, and tested (works fine)
What can I do to fix this issue and transmit 5.1 surround directly from windows?

2022-07-15T12:45:21+00:00 I don't have any dolby content, but I tested Dolby Surround and DTS in the menu from second screenshot. They work fine on my home theater, it's able to decode them normally.

I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.
On default format you can only select the sample rate and bit depth that will play the audio on shared mode, basically, when the processing will be done on the computer.
When you use DTS and Dolby, the audio processing is done on the receiver, it will only work when the application takes exclusivity over the audio interface to send the audio to the receiver.
