Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with accessing my Microsoft account and managing my subscription.

I am currently receiving invoices for an active subscription, however I am unable to log into the account associated with it. When I try to sign in using the email address that receives the invoices, I get information that there is no active subscription linked to this account.

This leads me to believe that the subscription may be connected to a different email address, but I have no way of identifying or accessing it.

I have already contacted support via chat and was informed that this is a commercial subscription and that I should seek help elsewhere. Unfortunately, after being redirected, I was unable to find any available support options (no chat or direct contact).

At the moment, I am being charged for a subscription that I cannot access, manage, or cancel.

I would appreciate your help in:

  • identifying which account/email address the subscription is linked to
  • regaining access or
  • canceling the subscription and stopping further charges

Please let me know what information you need from me to resolve this issue.

    I understand how concerning when you are currently being charged for a subscription, but you are unable to locate any active subscriptions.

    Based on your description, it is likely that this is a commercial (business) subscription, but you may be checking it under a personal account. In many cases, such subscriptions are linked to a different account. Sometimes, subscriptions are assigned to the original onmicrosoft.com global admin account, which may be different from the account you typically use.

    To verify this, please try the following steps:

    • Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: https://admin.microsoft.com
    • Sign in using any possible admin account, such as:
      • An old email address you may have used
      • A work or school account
      • An account ending with @yourtenant.onmicrosoft.com
    • After signing in:
      • Navigate to Billing > Your Products to view all active subscriptions
      • Go to Billing > Bills & Payments to review recent charges

    If the subscription still does not appear in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, I recommend you try to create a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center>Support>Help & Support. You can raise support ticket from https://admin.microsoft.com/#/support/requests. The Microsoft Support team will be able to assist you in defining the subscription and cancelling.
