Step-by-Step Installation Process

1. Share Your Microsoft 365 Family Subscription
2. Sign in to your Microsoft account at the Sharing page: Via https://account.microsoft.com/services/office/sharing
   1. Select Start sharing.
3. Choose one of the following options:

• Invite via email: Enter your wife’s email and click Invite.
  • Invite via link: Copy the sharing link and send it to her directly. Children and additional users each need their own invite.

2. Your Wife Accepts the Invitation

• She will receive an email or link to accept. She must click Accept and sign in with her own Microsoft account (or create one if she doesn’t have one yet).
• Once accepted, she’ll be added to your subscription and gain access to Microsoft 365 benefits, including her own 1 TB of OneDrive storage.

3. Install Microsoft 365 on Her PC

After acceptance, on her PC:

1. Go to office.com and sign in with her Microsoft account (the one used for the invitation).
2. From the Microsoft 365 home page, click Install Office or Install apps to begin the download and installation process.
3. Once installed, she can open any Office app (like Word or Excel) and she’ll be prompted to sign in again to activate Office under her own account.
4. Understand Device and User Limits

• Subscription Sharing: You can share your Microsoft 365 Family subscription with up to 5 other people (6 total users including yourself).
• Device Installations: Each person may install Office on all their devices but only be signed in simultaneously on up to 5 devices.
• If you reach the limit, you can deactivate Office on a device through your Microsoft account to free up space for another installation
