Trusted functions translation list

Hey guys,

I use Excel in Portuguese (BR), and sometimes it is a pain to find the correct function translation from English to Portuguese (BR).

See DROP, for example.

The Microsoft reference page is this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/drop-function-1cb4e151-9e17-4838-abe5-9ba48d8c6a34

If I change the language (at the botton left part of the webpage) to Portuguese (BR), I get to this page: https://support.microsoft.com/pt-br/office/fun%C3%A7%C3%A3o-drop-1cb4e151-9e17-4838-abe5-9ba48d8c6a34

The problem is, DROP doesn't work in Portuguse!

If I download an Excel file in English, with DROP, the Portoguese Excel version opens it as DESCARTAR.

Microsoft, can you please provide a trusted translation page?

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.  

According to your concern, I greatly recommend using the Functions Translator add-in provided by Microsoft. With it, you can look for any function name in English or Portuguese and translate entire formulas between languages.  

Here is the steps to install it: 

Note: If you're using a device managed by your organization, you should contact your company administrators to ask for their help since this app needs to be added as Integrated app in Admin Center 

• In Excel, go to Home > Add-ins > find Functions Translator > Add

  

• After installation, you will see two new buttons on the Home tab (Reference and Translator)
