Usando o Outlook Clássico no Windows para gerenciar e-mails pessoais, calendário e contatos
Thanks for sharing the details, Lucas! Try to move the mailbox out of Outlook.com entirely (keeps your Hotmail address)
This is the most reliable non-upgrade fix.
What this does
- Keeps your @hotmail.com address
- Stops Outlook.com from enforcing the 5 GB limit
- Moves mail storage to another provider with larger limits
How to do it (IMAP forwarding method)
- Create a new mailbox (Gmail, Proton, Zoho — any IMAP provider)
- In Outlook.com (web) → Settings → Mail → Sync email
- Add the new mailbox as an IMAP account
- Set it as:
Default send-from Auto-forward all incoming mail - Enable “Keep a copy in the forwarded mailbox” OFF
Through this, Outlook.com stays near 0 GB. You can send/receive normally and your Hotmail address still works everywhere.
See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
