Overview

Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management provides capabilities for end-to-end processes that manufacturers, distributors, consumer product groups, and retailers need to meet their supply chain requirements. Functionality ranges from product information management, forecasting, planning, inventory, sales, and procurement to complex manufacturing, asset maintenance, warehousing, transportation management, and costing.

This release wave focuses on copilots in three areas of plan-to-deliver end-to-end processes: planning, procurement, and manufacturing traceability. We improve Planning Optimization to calculate capable-to-promise (CTP) for sales orders faster without waiting for the next master planning run. Demand planners can use forecast models with external signals to increase accuracy. We continue to improve and expand business processes to help companies deal with complex business environments.

These capabilities give businesses more visibility, efficiency, and resiliency in their supply chain operations.

Manufacturing and asset management The manufacturing and asset management features in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management help companies gain agility, efficiency, and visibility in their manufacturing and maintenance operations. These features help companies maximize asset uptime and productivity. Investments focus on increasing flexibility and agility. Manufacturers benefit from enhancements to the Global Inventory Accounting add-in if they need to comply with multiple inventory accounting practices across multiple currencies. Improvements in material picking and handling last-minute manufacturing changes increase agility on the shop floor.

Planning
Demand planning uses best-in-class, out-of-the-box forecast models, immersive user experiences, intelligent reports, and analytics. It empowers organizations to build an agile, resilient, and sustainable demand planning practice that's fueled by intelligence and collaboration. In-memory supply planning offers performance and scalability. It gives you near real-time insights into requirement changes with material requirements planning and production scheduling.

Procurement Procurement and sourcing cover all steps from identifying a need for products and services, through procurement, receipt, invoicing, and processing payments with vendors. You can configure procurement processes for your specific business needs by defining purchasing policies and workflows.
