TerminalServices

Note   Starting with Windows 10, version 1703, this setting can no longer be used in provisioning packages. For more information on changes to the Windows Provisioning Framework, see Windows Provisioning Framework. This setting may have a Configuration Service Provider (CSP) equivalent that can be used instead. To determine if a CSP for this setting exists, see the description below.

 

TerminalServices is responsible for starting the computer and implementing Windows Fast User Switching (FUS). FUS utilizes the data separation technology of user profiles, providing a fast and convenient mechanism for switching between user accounts. Terminal Services uses terminal emulation to deliver the Windows desktop and Windows-based applications to a wide variety of computers.

DenyTSConnections specifies whether Remote Desktop connections are enabled.

LicensingMode

LicensingMode configures how Terminal Services manages Client Access Licenses (CALs). Two types of Terminal Server Client Access Licenses are available: TS Device CAL or TS User CAL:
