VPN extensions don't work in browsers

Question

Hello, VPN extensions don't work in browsers. I get an error: “ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED”, although it seems to connect to the VPN itself.

What can be the problem? I have disabled antivirus, tried different browsers and different VPNs. It does not work on the computer. I have windows 11

i found the solution .. the problem was in Kaspersky .. u just need to disable the scanning of secure connections
i think u are using Kaspersky too

There is a bug in build 17 when working through a VPN connection. as a temporary solution, when using a VPN, disable scanning of secure connections https://support.kaspersky.ru/help/Kaspersky/Win21.17/en-US/157530.htm

i have the same problem now too VPN extensions don't work in all browsers im windows
when i use different windows in vmware it work the problem in my win 11 not in browsers or the vpn ext.
its new problem

The error code is very generic. Apart from the extension, please uninstall the VPN program if there.

Also, go to :

edge://settings/privacy

Is any Secure DNS set to ON?

Additionally, in Windows Settings > Network & internet > Proxy > Unselect Automatically detect Settings, and restart your PC once.
