Before inviting users to Microsoft Viva Engage Enterprise, ensure a consistent user experience by completing tenant settings in the Viva Engage admin center.
Configuring the Viva Engage tenant requires Engage administrator privileges. To configure Viva Engage core or premium, administrators don't need a Viva Engage license assignment.
As you get started with Viva Engage, check the links in the Viva Engage admin help for other tasks, such as reviewing security and compliance settings.
Take the following steps to access Viva Engage tenant settings:
- In Viva Engage, select Settings > Admin center.
- In the admin center, select Setup and configuration > Tenant settings.
Tenant settings cover the following Engage capabilities:
| Tenant settings feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Viva Engage tenant name | Set the tenant name. For Microsoft 365 Viva Engage tenants, the name in the Microsoft 365 company profile supersedes this Viva Engage setting. To change the company profile settings, see Change your organization's address, technical contact, and more |
| Usage policy | Create a usage policy for engagement so content stays office‐appropriate. For instructions and best practices, see set up a usage policy. |
| Tenant logo | An Engage admin, network admin, or verified admin can upload the organization's logo to the Viva Engage tenant. The logo appears on every user’s home feed and on the Leadership corner header. Upload a single image at a time. |
| Notification settings | Allow immediate email delivery for community announcements, overriding the standard two-hour email delay. |
| Language | Engage generates messages in response to user actions. Actions that trigger system messages include changes to network configuration and to app feature operation. Choose a language for system messages from the list of supported languages. After you change the setting, all future system messages appear in the chosen language. |
| Conversation settings | Management settings for features of all Engage conversations. For more details, see Conversation settings for the Viva Engage network. |
| Content management | On by default. Provides a single setting to export event posts. |
