After a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit there is no option for colour printing with my Envy 4528 that used to work on and off with earlier updates. I made a fresh install of the driver package for the printer along with all other applications and programs
that had to be reinstalled.
Since then I have followed advise from HP staff on their support pages about how to uninstall, remove drivers, restart the computer, download the latest driver package (the same I used for the clean install) etc etc five (5) times. I have also tried to remove
all HP programs and drivers and install by letting Windows look for and install drivers by itself. Same result.
When printing from the Open Office Writer there is no colour option. The printer prints in black and white. Same goes for Adobe Acrobat. When in th web reader Chrome the colour option is visible but the printer only prints in black and white. When going
to the printer properties and the standard settings for printing there is no option for colour.
When printing a testpage from the trouble shooting HP app the printer prints B/W.
When copying on the printer it prints in colour. When printing a Diagnosis page from the printer it is in colour. When printing with my wifes iPad from a webpage the print is colour.
So it is not the printer. It is Windows 10 that doesn't work. I want Microsoft to rewrite/adjust the Windows 10 updates so I can use my printer. Buying a new printer seems to be a poor solution since it probably wont work either.
I would also be very thankful if someone of the Microsoft or Windows support teams can provide a solution while we wait for a Windows 10 update.
