Hello Britt-Mari
Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.
My apologies but I quite don't understand what you have described which is probably due to the translation.
First in regards to
>>
Can it be solved or is it just to buy new and start over?
<<
Yes this can definitely be solved without the need to buy anything.
What I am confused about with this description is what you mean by you ".....got your "365 mail started but can not get into Outlook"
From what I think you are describing is that your old school/work account has been deleted but is still configured in Outlook preventing Outlook from starting.
The easiest solution would be to start over by creating a new Outlook profile and configuring your email accounts again using the Control Panel Mail app
***sorry but you will need to use your browser's translation function for the articles included below
a) - With Outlook closed open the Control Panel <Mail> app
Just in case you need info regarding how to access the Control Panel Mail app, that's described in the following article by Outlook MVP Diane Poremsky
Where is the Control Panel Mail icon?

If using Windows 11

b) - Select <Show Profile> --> <Add> --> give the new profile a name (no need to remove the existing Outlook profile)
c) - Configure your email account(s)
d) - Set the newly created Outlook profile as the default for the next time Outlook is opened otherwise it'll use the old profile
