Automatic update of a list between worksheets (even when inserting rows)

I was wondering if someone could help me either create a VBA for the following function or simply explain how to do it:

I have a sample set of data looking as below:

What I am looking for is a was to copy part of this data to another worksheet. If this data is in Sheet1, i would like Sheet2 to display the same values for only priority, project name and project leader, i.e I would need Sheet2 to look as below:

Yes, I am aware of the fact that i can simply link the cells and drag the rows down but here is the issue: I would need to be able to insert new rows in the colum (say beweetn prio 2 and 3) so that there are 7 projects in total. What I would like to happen is then that once I have filled in the data for the new project, the information on Sheet2 is updated automatically with the new information (3 columns, 7 rows in the correct order).

In short i would just need a function that automatically updates Sheet2 with the same information from Sheet1 but excludes 2 columns. Any changes in Sheet1 should be reflected in Sheet2.

Thanks in advance!

/Andreas

    Hello Andreas!

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand you have some questions in regards to Microsoft Excel and how to work with two sheets.

What you ask for is tricky, one way to go, which might not be exactly what you want but is pretty close enough, is if you were to hold down Shift and then click on Sheet 1 and then 2. You will see that both are marked then, meaning that whatever you do in sheet 1 will happen in sheet 2 as well. So if you were to move the columns which you want to appear in Sheet 2 next to each other, and then mark both sheet 1 and 2 whenever you want to do changes to both sheets and then do the changes, it would work.

You would however have to remember to only mark sheet 1 when you don't want the change to appear in sheet 2.

If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to write back. You are welcome to respond in Swedish.

    Kind regards,

    Maria
