I **** using Windows 11 PRO 23H2 version and I made a clean installation on my PC with ISO. In the last updates, when I enter VALORANT, since I use FireFox from behind, sometimes I click on FireFox and the PC freezes, no response, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, no response at all. I force shut down the PC using the power button and then turn it on again.

It happens almost every day. If my problem is not fixed, I think I will go back to Windows 10.

Thank you for coming back. The problem is still the same, like the general problem of Windows 11.

Thank you very much for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm more than happy to assist you.

This is a known issue that has been reported by several users, and there are a few potential solutions you can try to resolve the problem.

Steps to Troubleshoot and Resolve Freezing Issues

    1. Update Drivers:
      • Ensure all your drivers, especially graphics drivers, are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website.
    2. Disable Startup Apps:
      • Disable all startup apps and then restart your PC. If the issue is resolved, enable one app at a time to identify the problematic application.
    3. Check for Windows Updates:
      • Make sure your system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any available updates.
    4. Run System Scans:
      • Run sfc /scannow and DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to check and repair any corrupted system files.
    5. Clean Boot:
      • Perform a clean boot to rule out software conflicts. This involves disabling all non-Microsoft services and startup items.
    6. Check for Hardware Issues:
      • Use tools like CrystalDiskInfo, MemTest, and Cinebench to check for any hardware issues. Ensure your NVMe, RAM, and other components are functioning correctly.
    7. Reinstall Windows:
      • If the issue persists, consider reinstalling Windows 11. Some users have reported that a clean installation resolved their issues.
    8. Rollback to Previous Version:
      • If the problem started after a recent update, you might want to roll back to a previous version of Windows 11 or even consider reverting to Windows 10 if the issues are too disruptive.
    9. Disable Windows Search:
      • Some users have found that disabling the Windows Search service reduces disk usage and prevents freezing.
    10. Check for Software Conflicts:
      • Ensure that there are no conflicts between VALORANT, Firefox, and other software. Try running VALORANT without Firefox in the background to see if the issue persists.

    Additional Tips

    • Monitor System Performance: Use Task Manager to monitor system performance and identify any processes that are consuming excessive resources.
    • Check Event Viewer: Look for any error messages or warnings in the Event Viewer that might give clues about the cause of the freezes.
    • BIOS Settings: Ensure that your BIOS settings are optimized and up to date. Sometimes, enabling or disabling certain features like TPM or Secure Boot can affect system stability.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be worth considering a rollback to Windows 10, especially if stability is crucial for your daily tasks. However, before making any major changes, ensure that you have backed up all important data.
