    Yes, you can install Windows 11 on an external HDD.

    It mainly requires two steps.

    1). Create a Windows 11 installation media.

    2). Clean install Windows 11 on the external drive

    While doing so, you will need to enter the BIOS settings to choose this media as the boot drive.

    NOTE: The original hard drive of the PC will be overwritten.
