My name is Jan, I’m an Independent Advisor. Most like caused by the audio driver or the related audio driver software. Try to reinstall the audio drivers.
- Press Windows key + X
then select Device Manager
Expand Sound, video and game controllers
Then right-click on your Sound device driver
then select Uninstall.
check the "delete the driver software for this device"
Then restart your PC.
Then check for Windows updates for it to download the latest audio driver.
If you have a USB type of Headphones uninstall the driver
restart your computer.

Manually update your sound drivers
Download the latest drivers from the Manufacturers's site and reinstall.
- Press Windows key + X
then select Device Manager
Expand Sound, video and game controllers
Then right-click on your Sound device
Then select Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
then select "High Definition Audio Device"
