If you're getting emails telling you that someone is attempting to access your account and offering a "Report the user" option, make sure that the email originates from the domain: accountprotection.microsoft.com.

In case the email does not come from that account, ignore it since it is an attempt at phishing, and you should simply right-click on such messages and report them as phishing.

You can confirm whether someone is attempting to access your account by checking your account activity, and you can do this by following the steps provided in this link: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/c...

Unfortunately, scammers will always try to access our accounts using different methods. However, the best thing you can do, is to enhance the security of your account. As long as you avoid interacting with such emails, you are safe, and you should keep reporting any phishing emails you receive.
