Hello.
Thank you for your response. However, this didn't solve my problem. I'm still getting the file ownership error. What do you suggest I do differently?

Merhaba.

Dear Murat Altay,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum support.
I understand you are experiencing an issue accessing backup files after resetting your Windows 11 device. This is likely due to the files being encrypted with EFS (Encrypting File System) before the reset, and the encryption keys not being preserved during the reset process.
To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:
1. Check for a backup of your encryption certificate
This step helps determine if you can restore access to the encrypted files.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
2. Try accessing the files using your previous Microsoft account
This step ensures you're using the same identity that encrypted the files.
After completing this step, continue with the next.
3. Use the cipher command to check encryption status
This step helps confirm whether the files are encrypted.
cipher /C "D:\01-09-2025\VEMA Fiyat Listesi_2022_Temmuz.docx"
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
4. Restore from a backup that includes the encryption certificate
This step is necessary if the encryption certificate was backed up separately.
.pfx or .p12 certificate backup files.Best wishes,
