    Dear Zhulin Cai,

    Thank you for the reply.

I researched a lot on my side, and I found this article: UML to XMI Export Functionality | Microsoft Learn. This article mentioned XMIExport.exe is only available to Microsoft Visio 2002 Professional.

    Sincerely,

    Thanks Jazlvn,

I am currently using system modelling tool so called 'Magic System of System Architecture', an MBSE tool provided by Dassault. As per their supporing documents, there is an add-in which could be possibly handling the XMI export (https://docs.nomagic.com/display/MD190/Importing+data+from+other+UML+tools+and+formats). However, the name of the tool is not mentioned. I also find for version former than VISIO 2007, MS team provides an XMIExport.exe to handle the conversion. Is this still works for the current version? Dear Zhulin Cai,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to export .xmi file from Visio.

I researched a lot on my site, Microsoft Visio doesn't have a built-in feature to directly export to XMI (XML Metadata Interchange) format. XMI is typically associated with UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams, and Visio supports UML diagrams but might not have direct support for exporting to XMI.

If you need to export your UML diagrams from Visio to XMI, you may need to use an intermediate tool or a plugin that supports both Visio and XMI.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Sincerely,
