Hi kami mado,
Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. Let's try to configure some various settings where it can affect Focus and make it function correctly.
A. Let's check your Windows notification settings.
- Press Start.
- Go to Settings.
- Click System.
- Click Notifications.
- Ensure the following are turned ON. Notifications
“Set priority notifications” is not restricting the Clock app - Make the Do not disturb "OFF"
- Scroll down and find Clock.
- Click it and make sure the following is ON. Notifications.
Show notification banners.
Play a sound when a notification arrives. - If “Show notification banners” is off, you will only get the small silent notification in the corner, exactly what you're describing.
B. Check Focus assist / Do not disturb. Sometimes Windows automatically enables silent mode.
- Navigate to Settings > System > Notifications > Do not disturb.
- Make sure: It is turned OFF Automatic rules are disabled, specially during certain hours.
C. Check Clock App Settings
- Open the Clock app:
- Click Focus sessions.
- Click the Settings (gear icon).
- Make sure: Sound is enabled. The session end alert is enabled.
D. Check system sound settings. If everything is enabled but still no sound.
- Right-click the speaker icon
- Click Sound settings
- Make sure: Correct output device is selected Volume is not muted System sounds are not disabled
- You can test system sounds by clicking, Control Panel > Sound > Sounds tab > Test “Notification”.
E. Restart the Clock App.
- Navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find Clock.
- Click the three dots > Advanced options.
- Click: Repair. If that doesn’t work > Reset.
- Then restart your PC.
I hope this solves the issue.
Regards,
Jhun
