Personal Outlook/Hotmail account can sign in on mobile app, but fails on desktop browser (redirect_uri / Exchange error)
I am using a personal Hotmail/Outlook.com account.
I can successfully sign in and use email on the mobile Outlook app (Android/iOS).
However, on desktop browsers (Chrome / Edge), I cannot access Outlook Web.
Even when using Incognito/InPrivate mode, the issue persists.
On desktop, I encounter errors such as:
UserHasNoMailboxAndNoLicenseAssignedError
invalid_request: redirect_uri is not valid
It appears that my personal account is being redirected to Office 365 / Exchange Online (enterprise OWA), even though I do not have any Exchange license.
What I’ve already tried:
Incognito / InPrivate mode
Clearing cookies and site data
Different browsers
Directly accessing https://outlook.live.com
Expected behavior:
A personal account should use Outlook.com consumer backend, not Exchange/Office backend.
Question:
How can I remove or reset any incorrect Office / Exchange binding on my personal Microsoft account so that desktop web login works correctly again?
