This API is used to read information about a symbol.
Implementations of this interface may restrict when they are called using a filter defined in their component configuration. The following properties may be used: SymbolProviderId.

Returns the source file position (ex: example.cs, line 12) of this instruction symbol. If this instruction symbol is not associated with a source file then null is returned (S_FALSE return code in native). |

GetSymbolInterface is used to obtain a raw COM interface to a symbol store. This is useful to either callers that find the symbol abstraction presented by the debugger to be either too restrictive for their needs, or simply undesirable due to how their component is implemented. |
