I am a SSRS newbie, so pardon simple questions. I created two main reports. One report has hidden reports within. The other report has sub-reports. When I deployed the programs to Reporting Services, the sub-reports appear as selection options. How do I hide these sub-reports so a user cannot select them?

No, you can't achieve your requirement.
The hidden report is "unhidden" by clicking on a toggle switch. It shows the data behind a chart if one desires to see it. The sub-reports are separate programs called by the main program which passes data to the sub-report. On their own the sub-reports can't run because they would be missing input data.

If you want to hide the sub-report, you may remove it when you design the report.

I do not know how to hide/remove it from the menu selection screen. That is what I am trying to find out. I do not want the user to be able to select the sub-report. It should only be called from the main program which passes the sub-report the data it needs.

You may right click the subreport and choose subreport properties, under the visibility--hide the report.
