I installed the Print Manager from the Domain Controller using Install Roles/Features onto a remote Domain Member server. I expected to see the Tools Print Manager option on the domain controller. It is not there.
Why isn't it showing?
Thanks

    HI
    "Doesn't work "can't find printmanagement.msc""
for my experence,on server 2012/2012r2 ,we need to install "print and document service"role on your server DC server 2012/2012r2 first then there will be PMC(print management console).
after installing "print and document service"role on your 2012/2012r2,we can enter "printmanagement.msc" in command prompt to open PMC and add other print servers to PMC of w2012/2012r2.
this behavior is by design ,it is not the same as w2016/2019.so on w2016/2019,we can use PMC and no need to add to install "print and document service"role.

    Doesn't work "can't find printmanagement.msc"

So I logged onto the DC
Added the printserver server to the DC list. It is displayed in the list of servers on the DC All Servers list
I ran the add Roles/Feateures, picked the print server, completed the wizard.
I can log onto the print server and select Tools Print Management. But not from the DC where I added the role.
    Anyone??

Re-read documentation. I didn't understand the install process. I decided not to install or manage the printers from the
    Domain Controller.
While logged on to the Domain Controller, I added New Roles/Features and selected the domain print server, the install wizard id exactly what is should have. It installed Print Manager role on the target server.

If I wanted to see Tools Print Manager on the Domain controller, I would need to install the Print Manager role on the Domain Controller.
I decided not to do that.
Appreciate those who tried to help.
    Best

I decided not to do that.

I'd agree that it isn't good practice to install that role on a domain controller.
