Hi All I have software, and we add licenses for it from its portal when we run out. There are 5 members in my team. If I'm on shift, I may add licenses; if someone else is on shift, they will do it. Whoever adds a license will receive an email notification from soft@somedomain.com, stating 'your license has been placed.' I want to create a transport rule in exchange online so that whenever a license is added, the email notification with the subject 'your license has been placed' from soft@somedomain.com is also sent to my manager for tracking purposes." Please help me with transport rule, is the below correct approach.

Apply this rule if:
The sender is this person: soft@somedomain.com
Subject or body:( i am not sure what should i select, i see 4 options):
Do the following: Add recipient: to the Cc box (mymgr@mydomain.com)

    Hi @Rising Flight ,

Based on your description, I want to confirm that you want to create a transport rule to forward the email from soft@somedomain.com to your manager for tracking purpose.

And it seems that you are confused about the options of the subject or body as below shows.

You can refer to below to compare their differences:

subject or body includes any of these words

Messages that have the specified words in the Subject field or message body.

subject or body matches these text patterns

Messages where the Subject field or message body contains text patterns that match the specified regular expressions.

subject includes any of these words

Messages that have the specified words in the Subject field.

    subject matches these text patterns

Messages where the Subject field contains text patterns that match the specified regular expressions.

Therefore, you could put the 'your license has been placed' you mentioned above into the subject or body includes any of these words option to meet the mail flow you want.

For more information, you could refer to Message subject or body of Mail flow rule conditions and exceptions (predicates) in Exchange Online | Microsoft Learn.
