In Windows 11... Create a letter in Word - Paper sizes all correct and set to A4, but when going to print preview, the text shifts, so the end of the page ends up going onto the next page. It does not print as typed, which causes problems. Unlike in Windows 10, Windows 11 & Word is no longer WYSIWYP. How can this be resolved?

Make sure that A4 is the default paper size set for your printer and that you don't have the "Scale content" setting enabled at File | Options | Advanced: Print.

I'm glad that worked for you! I have a relatively new computer that, thanks to a setup error, thinks it's French, and it has been quite a trial to persuade the printer not to default to A4 (doesn't help that the paper selection dialog is in French).
