Hello,
I am attempting to creature a formula that will generate a result while searching multiple cells/multiple rows.
In the attached image im trying to have column E search for when "Person1" had the word "Apple" appear in Column B and/or Column C. If "apple" appeared then to have the "# of Doc" (column D) give the corresponding #.
Example of wanted result:
Person1 has Apple in Column B/C > Result is 101.
If done for Person 4, it would be 115 as the result.
I am self taught with excel and trying to learn! So any help would be greatly appreciated!

=FILTER($D$2:$D$7,BYROW((ISNUMBER(SEARCH(G2,$B$2:$C$7)))*($A$2:$A$7=F2),SUM))
