Margins issue in Word

Greetings,

I have a Margins issue in Word from Office 2019.

I set my margins all to 0.4" on a 2 page document - and looks correct on the screen in the Word window - but all my print results shows more space on top and less on the bottom. Been troubleshooting this for a couple years lol. Today I copied all text and pasted in a new blank doc and still the same issue - looks perfect on screen but when printed - there is more room on the top. I am printing letter size.

Ideas? Thank-you.

Your mention of the paper size suggests another possible issue: Make sure that "Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11" paper sizes" is disabled at File | Options | Advanced: Print.

    The printer I had this issue with was also an HP LaserJet. But I also had other issues with it that were ultimately solved by downloading the PostScript driver instead of the PCL driver I had been using.

    This is almost certainly an issue with your printer driver.

    Most printers do not print edge-to-edge and reserve space for paper handling.
