Word has just been updated, and this thing called copilot has been added into the app. It is insanely annoying and intrusive to have to see this icon all the time, and as far as i know, it’s impossible to remove it. I don’t want anything to do with AI, ever. I’m so over it.

If you have Microsoft 365 version 2501:
Select File > Options.
Select Copilot in the navigation pane on the left.
Clear the check box 'Enable Copilot'.
Click OK.
