Problem with Word for Mac

Word on my Mac is not allowing continuation pages and also unable to edit documents. Someone mentioned the Focus bar but could do with some advice if anyone could help please?

Further to John's reply there is no Focus bar. Focus Mode is a display mode which provides a somewhat customizable work environment which some users find to be preferable. It has nothing to do with the issues you mentioned — although I'm not completely clear on what continuation pages is intended to describe.

If not, please provide a more definitive description supported by a screen shot of the document window. Also, always include the present Version Number of both macOS & Office when posting a question.

Word automatically creates new pages as you fill previous pages. You can manually create new pages by inserting a Page Break (Insert>Break>Page Break from the macOS menu bar or Insert>Page Break on the Ribbon).

To edit documents, you copy of Office must be activated. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you must be signed in to your Microsoft account.
