How does the new rewards referral program work?

The old referral program stated that each new member that you referred could complete offers. Both you and the referral could earn up to 1300 if they completed all their welcome offers. The program was somewhat faulty and personally, I wasn't credited with all my points for referrals that completed their offers. All of a sudden, the program was changed and referrals earned 1 point per search. In addition to the sudden change, the directions to earn points are incredibly unclear. The instructions state " Invite your friends to join Rewards with your unique link. Earn 1 Rewards point for every search your friend makes on Bing. Turn pending points into earned points when your friends use Bing as their daily search engine Points will remain in pending state until all referral searches are verified." Verified by whom? What is it that separates verified searches from unverified ones? Microsoft rewards support has also been incredibly unhelpful. After sending my initial support request, I got a reply the next day asking for screenshots of relevant information (proof of completion of the referral offer, etc.) I've been waiting for 3 dsys ever since sending in the screenshots, which is especially perplexing due to the fact that customer support said that the support case would be closed if I didn't reply within 3 days. Since customer support has been unresponsive, I came here to hopefully get some answers regarding the new program. Thanks.

The new referral program tells to share your unique referral link from the rewards dashboard. When someone signs up using your link and begins searching with Bing, you will earn 1 Microsoft point.

NOTE: Points are really not instantly credited. Points are marked pending until verified. There's also no guaranteed timeline as how long to verify the pending points.

To answer your question, Microsoft doesn't publicly define and share any information as a "verified search" and who is verifying the searches. (this will be private and will not be seen by anyone even me as and advisor)

If you already provided screenshots the ticket should remain open, even if they don't acknowledge it quickly. If more than 7 business days pass with no response try to submit another ticket(include previous ticket number or any reference)
