Why does Microsoft not have Live Support? -- Lost access to Microsoft account

I changed my email address and have not used my Microsoft Home product in a while. I could not remember my user name or password and tries to contact Microsoft for assistance. I went through even automated process offered to recover and old account to see what I had and to see my subscription history. Nothing worked and they was not Live Support option to speak to a real person.

Why? This makes no sense. I had to create a new account just to be able to post a question in the community forum.

Any advice on how to reach a real person at Microsoft is appreciated.

Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

I’m sorry to hear of your problems.

When was the last time you signed into the account? If over 12 months then the account may have been deleted due to lack of use. If so then the account cannot be recovered.

These are the ways to contact support:

https://support.microsoft.com//help/4051701/

https://support.microsoft.com/contactUs

You may need to ask the chatbot that you wish to speak with an agent or that you’re having account problems in order to speak with a real person.
