When I try to send an email to a specific person, their name is not populating any longer. I believe I mistakenly clicked the X beside their name deleting them. How do I get them back?

Hi @Bonnie Falls ,

Thanks for reaching out!

It sounds like you may have accidentally removed the contact from your auto-complete list in Outlook. When you click the "X" next to a name in the suggestion list, it deletes that entry from the recent cache, which is why it no longer appears when you start typing.

To get the contact back:

  1. Try typing the full email address manually and send a message—Outlook will re-learn it and add it back to the auto-complete list.
  2. Alternatively, if the person is in your address book or global directory, you can search for them using the “To” field or the address book icon.

I hope this helps clarify your concern. If you found this answer helpful, feel free to click the thumbs-up button so others with the same question can benefit too.
