The camera in my laptop is not working not the hardware issue but the software is not the camera app and it's not working for any google sites too. i need it to be done asap i cannot make a request for warrenty or something like that as it takes weeks of time to the work to be done if it's a software issue i can do it myself with the proper process can anyone help me out on this.
problem : 1 camera is not running(it's struck not even showing any error)
2 no any other camera devices are installed in my device
3 when i want to use the camera for google (exams and assessments) it is showing camera cannot be accessed.
4 I've done all methods terminated the process, reset camera, restarted the laptop, reinstalled the camera but still the same error.
5 while i'm trying all these methods the camera was working for a short period of time like a day or two but again the issue is repeating.

Hello.

Some laptop models have a camera on/off key, usually between F1 and F12 that must be pressed together with the FN key, or a protective cover on the camera. Check to see if your model has one of these.

Also click on start menu and type Device Manager
Expand Cameras > Right click on your camera > Uninstall.
Restart the device to reinstall the camera device and see if the issue persists.

If it persists, click on start menu and type msinfo32
Open System Information
Take a screenshot and post it here please.

Also, check the camera's privacy permissions.
Click the Start menu and open Settings.
Go to Privacy and Security > Camera.

I reinstalled the camera but still not working

and whenever i open the camera app there's a constant flicker in the app it's strucking not responding and light in the red circle that indicates the camera is on is not turning on the light is also having flickers on and off constantly.

last week when i was trying to do something about this and trying what i found the camera started working for a movement of time like a day or two after that the same thing is repeating it's becoming a problem for me to attend meetings and write assessments for my exams the assessments needs this camera to be on while i'm writing or may be is it because of those assessments as i have given permissions for them to access my camera right but if that's the issue the camera or other websites should show that the camera is already in use, in settings it is showing the camera app is using the camera right now but it isn't working.

In this case, it's quite possible that it's a hardware issue rather than a driver issue. Ideally, contact the manufacturer's support or take the device to a repair shop. In some cases, pressing the camera with your finger can "help."

User's image my camera is not working, i can see the sensor activating but my camera is not working, cannot use for facial recognition too. any advice? please help, thank you!
