Hello Alexander,
Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows Forum.
Based on your query of logging on the computer without using the password. You can try the following options.
1.Using the netplwiz Command.
- Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
- In the box, type netplwiz and press Enter or click OK.
- The "User Accounts" window will open. Select your user account from the list.
- Uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
- Click Apply.
- A new window will pop up asking you to confirm your current password. Enter your password in both fields to confirm it. This is the last time you will need to do this for startup.
- Click OK, and then click OK again on the User Accounts window.
- Restart your computer. It should now log you directly into your desktop without asking for a password.
2.Removing the Password for a Local Account.
- This option only works if you are not using a Microsoft Account to log in. If you see your email address on the login screen, you are using a Microsoft Account and should use option 1.
- Open Settings (you can press Windows Key + I).
- Go to Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Click on Password and then click the Change button.
- Enter your current password and click Next.
- On the next screen, leave all the new password fields blank.
- Click Next, and then Finish.
Please note: Removing the password requirement means that anyone with physical access to your computer can turn it on and access all of your files, emails, and saved passwords. Please only do this if you are certain your computer is in a physically secure location, like your private home.
Hope the above information is helpful!
