    Hello Jim White,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A

Here is the step by step instruction of how you can enable automatic sign-in to Microsoft Edge as the current user :

    1. Download and install the Microsoft Edge administrative template Microsoft Edge Enterprise landing page
    2. Extract the cab file and copy these 3 files in the picture below along with your Edge language and location folder (for example: en-US)
      image
    3. Paste the files and folder into PolicyDefinitions folder, which located at "C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions"
    4. Open the group policy editor, navigate to User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Microsoft Edge → Browser Sign-in Settings
      image
    5. Enable the policy and then apply
    • This ensures that the default Edge profile is automatically signed in with the user’s Azure AD (work or school) account without requiring manual sign-in.
    • It supports SSO (Single Sign-On) for Microsoft services and other sites that use the same identity.

If you agree with our suggestion, feel free to interact with the system accordingly!
