We are not able to remove watermarks.
Using the pulldown menu has no effect.

Watermarks are objects that are anchored to the page header. Double-click the header area to activate the header/footer view. Then select and delete the watermark.
While in header/footer view, select the image being used as a watermark and delete it as you would any selected object. The specific delete watermark command may not work if the watermark is not so marked, but simple deletion will work.
