Activating Microsoft Office 365 Basic Plan for OneDrive with Gmail Account

Thanks for posting to the Community. If you for purchased the Microsoft 365 Basic Plan via the Google Play Store with your Gmail. The Microsoft 365 Basic Plan gives you 100 GB of OneDrive storage. To use it, you need to log into OneDrive with a Microsoft account. Even though your subscription is tied to your Gmail (through Google Play), OneDrive is a Microsoft app, so it needs a Microsoft account.

Here’s what you can do. First, go to account.microsoft.com to create a Microsoft account or sign in if you already have one. Next, download the OneDrive app on your Android phone or tablet. Then, sign in with your Microsoft account.

OneDrive should see your subscription from Google Play and give you the 100 GB storage. If it doesn’t pop up right away, check these things:

-Make sure you’re using the same Microsoft account for every app. Check if your Google Play subscription is still up-to-date.

-Make sure you got OneDrive app from the Google Play Store, not somewhere else.

You don’t have to manually connect your Gmail to your Microsoft account. OneDrive checks your subscription when you log in with your Microsoft account on the device where your Google Play subscription is active.
