Hi My touchscreen stopped working after windows update which I believe happened on 21/08/2025 or 22/08/2025 - how can I fix?

Hello

Can you launch the computer into BIOS, and see if touchscreen works in BIOS? If it is not working in BIOS either, this has nothing to do with Windows.

Otherwise, type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up please.

    In that case, download the install the BIOS from Dell and see if it helps. If not, you would actually need support from Dell, not from Microsoft because BIOS is the environment of the firmware, Windows is not even running there yet.

    If I remember this model correctly, the ribbon cable is somewhat exposed at the base and screen connecting area and the touchscreen seems to be an issue that can be related to this design.

    Hiya in the bios i turned touch screen off and on again - rebooted and it's now working - thank you!

    When you power on the computer, repeatedly and quickly press F2, and that should get you into Dell BIOS. Check that first, and see if touchscreen functions there.

    Hi not sure how to check if it works in bios. I did check the device manager and touch screen is enabled.
