PC stuck in update screen ”System updates are under way” but has been on for more than 6 hours after I installed/restarted PC for alternative driver updates

Hi, I had been experiencing unrelated issues on my PC lately so I went through my optional updates for drivers on my PC. I picked 2 driver updates that stated that they were Legion related since my PC is Legion branded on the case. Since I installed them and restarted the PC, the screen has been stuck in the ’update mode’ (System updates are under way, please keep the PC on and connected) for more than 6 hours. I really just don’t want to damage any PC parts in the process if there is anything I can do, and I’m wondering if these driver updates usually take this long of time and I don’t need to stress about it.

A driver update should install within a couple of minutes, 6 hours is not normal.

Press and hold the power button on the case of your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to shut your PC down.

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Please try each option one at a time, then see if Windows will boot up normally.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair

See if Windows startup can repair itself.

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to
