In Windows 11, I have a volume mixer bug, like going from 100% to 0%, so I can't play videos or music on my laptop. Because the volume mixer has a bug like that. It's very annoying. I've tried updating Windows, but it's still the same. Installing the driver doesn't make any difference.

Thanks for the update. Try these other suggestions.

  • On your task bar right-click on the speaker icon Select sounds settings Scroll down, then click on "More sound settings" Under the Communications tab>When Windows detects communications activity Select Do nothing
  • Check the Discord settings>Voice & Video>Global attenuation, set it to 0%

Screenshot 2025-09-05 100340I've followed it all the way through. Initially, the volume bug seemed to disappear. After I wanted to do my activities again, why is the volume mixer bug still there, going from 100% to 0% and repeating? So every time I listen to music, the sound goes out, then it disappears again. I've also tried a clean boot earlier.
