How can I check which pages on my site aren’t indexed in Bing Webmaster Tools? Is there an API or any other method to check the index status of multiple URLs in bulk?

Hello. The Sitemap Index Coverage report is the fastest way to do it, it shows exactly which URLs from your submitted sitemap are indexed, and which are excluded, with reasons.

Have you submitted a full sitemap.xml to Bing Webmaster Tools, and does the Sitemap Index Coverage tab appear when you open it?

Go to Bing Webmaster Tools > Sitemaps and click your sitemap. – This opens the Sitemap Index Coverage report, showing a breakdown of indexed vs. non-indexed URLs.
Review the exclusion reasons (like “Not yet crawled,” “Content quality,” “Redirected,” or “Blocked by robots.txt”).
Use the Export button to download the list of affected URLs.

This gives you full visibility into how Bing sees your site, so you can act on crawl issues, content problems, or blocked resources.

Is there an API I can use to check all pages at once? I use over 60 sitemaps for different languages, so manually checking each sitemap’s links in Webmaster Tools is time-consuming.

Hello,

At the moment Bing’s Webmaster API doesn’t provide a way to bulk-check whether all your sitemap URLs are indexed; it only supports submitting URLs and viewing crawl data. That’s why you don’t see an option to confirm index status programmatically.

Are you mainly looking to confirm which URLs are actually indexed and visible in Bing, or just to verify that Bing has successfully read all your sitemaps?

As a workaround, you can export all URLs from your sitemaps and run a script that queries Bing Search (for example with site:yourdomain.com/page). This lets you log which ones return results vs. which don’t, giving you an automated approximation of index status. This method doesn’t use Bing’s official API but will save you from manually testing each link.
