image.jpgI was using my laptop on my monitor I just got using a hdmi cable, and I was in edge and all the sudden it got very laggy. I turned it off then on again. It froze on the boot up screen, then I turned it off again. I done that again, then unplugged it from the monitor. After that it went into automatic repair, and now it’s stuck on connecting to network. I turned it off once again, and it’s still stuck on the same thing. Is my laptop dead?

Your laptop is not dead, are you able to force your laptop into the recovery environment using these steps.

Start your laptop, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Please try each option one at a time, then see if Windows will boot up correctly.

.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair

See if Windows startup can repair itself

.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to
