when i save a photo from my emails to the desk top the file is white and not recognised

Hello,

This only happened the other day and has been working fine up until then.

When I save an image from an email to the desk top the file can not be opened and the file appears blank.

If I try and open it it asks me what programme I want to use? This has never happened before.

I've re-booted twice.

Any ideas>

Sorry, I was not notified you had replied, this forum is a bit strange, please use the comment section on my replies, so I get notified when you have replied.

The screenshot indicates that file has downloaded without a file extension.

Right click the file and select rename, then either add .jpg or .png to the file name to test if that file is then recognised as an image file and can be opened

    Right click that file you have downloaded to your Desktop and select Properties, please provide a screenshot of the resulting properties dialog box.
